An Omaha woman lost her life in a tragic multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Tuesday night in the northwest part of the city. The incident has left the community in shock and raised concerns about road safety.

Victim Identification

Authorities have identified the victim of this devastating crash as 79-year-old Rebecca Davis. She was the driver of a Ford Fiesta that was involved in a four-car wreck. The accident took place at the intersection of Sorenson Parkway and Wenninghoff Road just before 6 p.m. Other vehicles such as a silver Honda Pilot, red Toyota Camry, and silver Honda Odyssey were also part of the crash.This initial investigation revealed that the Pilot, driven by a 17-year-old from Omaha, was traveling westbound on Sorenson and attempted to turn northbound onto Wenninghoff, resulting in a collision with Davis. The other two vehicles, the Camry and Odyssey, were hit after the initial impact at the intersection.Davis, along with the driver of the Pilot, was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. Unfortunately, Davis later passed away at the hospital. The driver of the Camry, a 57-year-old Omaha man, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
